These relief valves are used downstream of pressure regulators to relieve limited volumes of gas. Where venting into the atmosphere is acceptable, they provide cost effective solutions that avoid triggering safety shut-off valves in the event of thermal expansion, transient surges of pressure and creep leaks from regulators. These valves are ideal for low pressure settings due to the increased sensitivity provided by a large diaphragm area.
