The SSV 8600 is a versatile safety valve that gives over-pressure, or both over- and under-pressure protection by shutting off the flow of gas to the downstream system. Equipped with lever reset, balanced stem for HP use and mistake-proof SSV by-pass, it provides very accurate triggering, thus allowing the operating pressure to be as close as possible to the Maximum Incidental Pressure. As an individual device, it complements a regulator with a built-in safety shut-off valve where gas pressure regulating installations require two safety devices.
