Greenwood SC, May 23, 2008 – New single jets capture revenue missed by turbine meters.
Actaris, the worldwide leader in metering systems, introduces a new solution to aid utilities in their quest to conserve water and enhance revenue. Actaris’ Flostar single jet line of commercial and industrial meters are now available in AWWA turbine standard lay lengths, allowing utilities to account for water that is unmeasured by their currently installed turbine meters.
Over the years, many turbine meters have been placed into applications where they often encounter flow rates that are lower than the meters’ capabilities. Flostar single jet meters provide significantly lower flow rates than turbines and are easier to maintain. “With AWWA standard turbine lay lengths, the new Flostar meters offer utilities an easy, drop-in and go solution for recovering previously lost revenue,” explains Andrew Dudley, product manager for commercial and industrial meters.
Chuck Strawn, Actaris vice president and general manager, states, “This impressive product release is consistent with the Actaris vision to provide the North American market with the tools it needs to promote utility-wide conservation initiatives.”
Actaris will be highlighting the new turbine lay length Flostar at the AWWA Annual Conference and Exposition June 8-12, 2008 in Atlanta, Georgia. While visiting the AWWA conference please visit Actaris at booth #1307. For further information please visit us at www.actariswater-na.com .
